Our sourcing is built on long-term relationships, repeated visits, and mutual trust rather than transactional buying. Many of the teas we offer come from producers we have worked with for years—some are lifelong tea makers whose families have cultivated the same land for generations, while others are younger producers experimenting thoughtfully within traditional frameworks. By staying close to origin, we are able to select teas based on real understanding of land, cultivar, and craftsmanship, rather than relying on market labels or intermediaries.
What makes Leafori different from other tea brands?
Our focus is not scale, trend, or speed. Because we work closely with producers, we are able to support small-batch, origin-specific teas that are often overlooked by larger supply chains. Some of our offerings come from unusual cultivars, old gardens, or non-standard processing choices—teas made because they make sense to the land and the maker, not because they fit a category. Where are your products manufactured?
Many of the teas we work with are grown following organic or low-intervention practices, but not all carry formal organic certification. Certification can be costly and administratively demanding, particularly for small producers, and we do not require it as a condition for collaboration. Instead, we prioritize direct knowledge of cultivation practices through on-site visits, conversations with producers, and long-term observation. For us, transparency comes from proximity and trust, not from labels alone.
How does Leafori ensure tea safety and quality?
We visit origin regularly, taste extensively, and maintain close communication with producers throughout the year. By sourcing directly and in small quantities, we are able to understand how each tea is grown, harvested, and processed. Quality at Leafori is not defined only by flavor, but also by how responsibly a tea is produced and whether it reflects its place of origin honestly.
Does Leafori offer tea bags? What are they made of?
Leafori focuses primarily on loose-leaf tea, as this best preserves the integrity of leaf material and flavor. In limited cases, we offer biodegradable tea bags made from plant-based materials for specific partners or projects where loose-leaf service is not practical. These tea bags are fully compostable and free from plastic, designed to meet functional needs without compromising environmental responsibility.
Can I cancel my order?
If you placed an order by mistake or need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible at customer@leafori.com.
Once an order has been processed or shipped, we may not be able to cancel it, but we will always do our best to assist where possible.
Do you offer local pick-up?
At this time, Leafori does not offer local pick-up.
